We headed towards Vosat, to help Vaugner with a mission given him by his mentor, the grand high Poobah, Shadow. We were supposed to find out about a mercenary army; who commanded it, how big/powerful it was, etc. We infiltrated Vosat, and spent a really long time finding out that 1) the kingdom's army probably wasn't the mercenary army, and 2) there were a fair number of veteran soldiers who had disappeared recently (we assume to join said mercenary army. But that's all we could figure out. Looks like Vaugner may not get his spying merit badge...

To relieve the general monotony, we headed for a volcano where supposedly a lot of adventurers tried their chances. We went into the caves, and eventually got attacked by what I can only describe as Drunken Potato Monsters. They were vaguely goo-esque in that I got both hands stuck in one, and one foot stuck in another. Good news about being a monk: it's hard to misplace your weapons. Bad news: it's _really_ inconvenient when your weapons get stuck.
