I am beginning to think that we have met our match in this Minotaur King. The Gem he wears -- if it is indeed a Gem -- gives him considerable power. He appears to have True Seeing and he can perform an advanced form of Detect Thoughts that returns surface thoughts instantly. Perhaps he uses a Devine form that I am not aware of. In any case, he and his band are quite formidable. Vaugner has a master plan to turn his thought-reading ability against him, but it is not without risk. Still, we have taken the adventuring life; there must therefore be adventure!

I am hoping that if and when we secure this third Gem of Power, that the Belar are sated for a while. I would like to pursue the aims of the Fabricari, or more exactly, my aims for the Fabricari. I am nearing the point where the Great Transmutations will be under my mastery. I will learn to manipulate the very materials around me: stone, wood, earth, metal, leather, cloth. For a Fabricari, few steps in the progression of the Circles are as satisfying as achieving the Fifth.

Time to practice my fiddle. The time of building is nearly upon me!
