I'm reconsidering interfering with the humans to the north of the Elven Forest. They trade with Deepwater, and my guess is that if we are overly successful, we will quickly become enemies of Deepwater. That seems counter-productive, as I would very much like to gain influence there either indirectly through the Fabricari or directly by convincing the others to take over the fiefdom in a coup d'etat. It seems as though either of these courses would be easier if we are not wanted men in their fair city.

I've also been considering building a home in Danlo. Even if we take Deepwater, I don't necessarily wish to be associated as being one of the rulers. That would make the neutrality of the Fabricari difficult to maintain. Danlo, in contrast to Deepwater, is centrally located, and that seems quite useful as my Teleport spells are currently of limited range. Danlo also has the best access to materials both mundane and arcane. There is reasonable safety and stability there, and the right sort of people with which to make contact. Yes, I think a Teleport to the fair four-sided city is in order soon. First though, acquiring a bit more gold might be in order. I sense that building a home with a laboratory and library will cost a pretty copper piece even with a Fiddle of Building.
