I have heard tell of another continent somewhere beyond the great Seas. The rumors of this land are that Magik does not function as it should, and thus my powers would be useless. And still, I think I would like to visit this land! Perhaps even take up permanent residence!

We run this way and that as this puppetmaster Lidec pulls our strings. When we confront him, we get no response from him, if it is even he, or his Belar master, if it is his Belar master. Who can tell when all you get are placid faces and meaningless phrases? "Tell Ko that is his real name." The Gods, what is that supposed to mean? And what does it have to do with anything in our lives?

Clearly, we should simply go into the business of saving Kings. While there is no certainty in it, the random blessings they bestow seem to outshine anything our dear Lidec provides. Not that I am ungrateful.... on second thought, perhaps, in truth, I am. Perhaps I was hoping our reward would be a stout ship and a westerly star to guide her by. Somewhere there must be a continent with our names on it.
