Ah, the Underdark! This place seems strangely at home to me, though we have much to learn here. For one, we have yet to learn to avoid the simple creatures that inhabit this land. A group of giant bats attacked us just hours ago, and we were forced to destroy them all. A pity, really, though they were quite adept at collecting gold from less wary passers-by, and that gold now lines our pockets, so, the pity is not as great as I supposed, now is it?

I am sure we have much more danger to face before we reach the greatest danger of them all: the drow! But this is the stuff of adventure and our whole reason to live, is it not? Onward then! Ancient coins of gold and equally ancient magic and perhaps even the Star itself await!
