Feb. 20:

We have a meeting tommorow morning with Dean Tera. She is quite a hottie, but the Belar are not known for mixing with us humans in that way, so I guess she gets off the hook. I wonder what could be so important? I hope she hasn't found out about some of my more creative study habits. Could these other guys have been doing it too, and we are all getting busted? I will spend the rest of the night studying so I can at least answer some of the questions right.

Whew! What a relief that was. Not only are we not in trouble, but we don't have to take the finals! Only way it could have been better would have been if Teacher Tera had asked me to stay after with her and her hottie friend for some extra credit. Someone apparently spent 3-4 years to make a forgery of her statue that is only worth at most 10k in gold. That doesn't make any sense in terms of effort, so something is not right. I bet that someone has discovered a way to do it on the cheap. Or else this is not about money at all, in which case we are in for more trouble. Let's hope its for the money, cause it is always easier to figure out what people who want more money will do. This was a big day for all of us, as we left the city for the first time (at least officially). we rode all the way to Maro, and the inn there wasn't bad. I even slipped our Bard some quality liquor, just to initiate him into the club. I kept an eye on him after just to make sure he didn't get taken advantage of, so I wouldn't get off on the wrong foot with him. He seems to whine a lot about the poor accomodations and such, so I figured sleeping in his own barf might put things in perspective for him. Ah well, no harm, no foul.

Where is this fucking caravan? We've been hauling ass and we can't find them. I'm getting a bad feeling about this. Life just is never simple. It looks like we are sleeping in the woods tonight, so this is my first chance to get fucked over. I will lay the caltrops out and see if any of my "friends" try to get me. I think I am pretty safe from them though. Malif and I have hung out some, and he seems cool. The Fighter and the Cleric seem goody two shoes enough, though that could just be an act. Who can really fear a Bard after all? The Monk is probably the biggest threat, lawful or not. He seems like a greedy SOB for a man of the monastery, but who am I to cast that stone? We will just have to keep an eye on him.

Holy shit! I am sleeping my ass off, and Kestrel wakes me up and doesn't realize how close he comes to getting a shortsword in the ass. I've got to figue out a way to wake up suddenly and not want to kill whatever has disturbed me. Anyway, there were these flashing lights that one of the guys thought had valuable hides or something, but none of these turkeys wanted to go get them! What kind of band of adventurers are these guys? I may have hooked up with the wrong bunch. We'll give them a little time, but if this is going to be a pussy party I am going to have to make a change. And then they all just go back to sleep, like nothing happened. Who does that? I couldn't sleep for the rest of the night.

Still no sign of the caravan. Tomorrow we will hit the next town, and if the caravan hasn't shown up, we are screwed. I will have to figure out where they went if they aren't on the road. The innkeeper in Maro said Jacob was in a hurry, and that makes me suspicious of him. I don't think going to him with the real story is a bright idea, but I will need to convince the others of this. Amazingly, the surprisingly not as dumb as a post Kestrel agrees with me on this, so we have a chance of not getting shot on sight by the caravan. More sleeping in the brush tonight, and if those Christmas lights show up again I'm going to have to figure out a way to get some balls into this group.

Hot Damn! We didn't get the Christmas lights, but these 3 fucked up horses tried to eat our horses, and we kicked their asses. It felt good to get our first taste of combat, but I need a bigger sword if I am going to take shit like this on all the time. I think I will look into that soon.
