I was correct! We got shit out of the lcyanthropes. What a waste of time! And Kestral keeps whining about wanting to go back into the dream. I will tell him this: I will vote to go into the dream when I stop feeling poor. The dream is a black hole of poverty as it has yet to provide any treasure we can tangibly do anything with. What some in the party fail to grasp is that the freedom of real treasure is the freedom of choice it provides you in what to do with the proceeds from it. As wonderful as increasing our stats or experience in life is, it does none of that. It seems eerily like the gods are trying to control us by bequeathing to us only that wealth that we have no control over. Even the rods, which are by far our most powerfull possessions, we cannot dispose of for fear that buckwheat will come back and ask for them, or Tera will want them back, or whatever. We are powerfull beings indeed, but we are paupers among our peers by the standards above.

To that end, we have decided to try to earn a bounty by taking out the Minotaur leader. Strangely, in a land that charges us 100gp a month simply to pass, the reward for ridding the land of its biggest enemy is only 2500gp. And stranger still, there have been about 50 groups who have been willing to try to accomplish this task. My only hope is that this guy will have a bunch of treasure to make it worthwhile, but who knows. We have only fought one person in our travels who had a magic weapon, the rest all carry masterwork stuff.

The assholes who tried to kill us in the cave work out of Yoger. I think they should be our highest priority, but some in the group seem reluctant to head south. I fear we are walking dead men, for the group that attacked us seems to have enough resources and time to pull it off, and as mighty as we are we cannot withstand an attack such as the one they tried reliably. If they, like the rest of the world, go back for reinforcements and learn from the silence mistake, one of us or more will die the next time, and there will be no amount of strategy or planning that will save us. I will make sure to have an invisibility loaded, and then meet Malif at the appointed Rope trick location. Then we will need to decide if we want to raise the rest of the party from the dead, or sell all of their shit and continue on as a pair. I must say Vernon's mithral chain shirt would look good on me!
