March 3:

Vernon is insane! First he rarely heals anyone, which I can sympathize with, but you really should consider this before you decide to become a CLERIC. Then he insists on acting like the thief in the party and scoops up all the loot. While sort of annoying at first, I guess I am ok with it, because if he wants to jump on the grenades without a skill at finding traps, I'm all for it. But this whacked desire to fight all the monsters in the dungeon by himself while letting them sneak up on him while he is sleeping because the rest of us are GONE? I fear for his mental health and by that reasoning, I fear any decision he might make in the heat of battle. I realize that not all of my companions have the same healthy respect for death that I do, but this is just daring everything out there to come get you! I'm not sure that I am comfortable with him on watch while I am sleeping. But I don't think I will need to worry about it much longer, because Malif has assured me that Vernon has a 95% probability of being eaten by something if he continues this behavior. Perhaps a betting pool amongst the rest of the party!

Well, it looks like we have a plan: gather info on the dream for 4 days and then go clear out the cave and use it as a base of operations. I have a bad feeling about this city and the welcome mat they have out for us, and I think it would be prudent to prepare for the day when we are not welcome in Pavalar. We may even be able to make Errol comfortable there, as the cabin may stop his incessant whining (unlikely).
