So the explosion from the cauldron created a rift. Only we can see it, and only we can enter it and suvive the vacuum. Which is special and interesting, but we can't breathe in there which might as well make it a vacuum too. We are not about to spend the bulk of the party's gold again to go investigate something which we have no reason to believe will benefit us. And I , for one, am tired of saving an ungratefull world. They don't believe our rift is there and they don't care that it is getting bigger. So fuck them, and the consequences of the rift getting bigger. It is about time that we got something from this world if we are to keep acting on its behalf. The silly cauldron rod blowing up and destroying our shit and not the city of Danlo has netted us -100,000gp or so. That will teach us to act for the good of the people when terrorist behavior is so prevalent. Perhaps a city or two going up in smoke will make the Belar or the ruling class decide that they should offer rewards to those who can prevent such shit from happening. Or not. It will be up to them.
