My Writing and Musings
I will add to this journal my thoughts and musings. I will try and reflect my mood and the event happening in my life. This text will have no sense of time and it will reflect the style of the arcane writing I have found in the book delivered to me. Perhaps in this way I can better understand myself and the ancient text of that tome.
My days in long studies are almost completed but I do not feel that they have answered any of my real life questions. I am still an outsider within these stone walls.
I received a summons today and feared I have done something to displease. Terra, the Dean of Art, has asked me to meet her. I pray that this has nothing to do with my latest venture outside our well guarded world.
A mission and I'm asked to accompany the others of my class. I feel happy to be free of the pressures of my life here, but the others must have a different agenda. The task seems small and does not merit the others involvement. Perhaps there is a greater reason for getting us to go outside of the city. Time will only tell here.
My companions each hold special skills and talents. Here are my short thoughts.
Blink - I feel he spends too much thought on the what-ifs but seems to only have our safety in mind.
Vaugner - is one of the most paranoid persons I have ever met, but he seems to have a keen sense of his surroundings so maybe there something he not telling us.
Errol - is a skilled performer and makes our travels lighter, he does seem a little to attached to his comforts of home though.
Kestrel - is stalwart and I feel relaxed when he leads. He seems to have a warrior's heart.
Malif- I feel, he of all the other bears a close watch, but his skill in the art will be usefully to us.
Over the past days I am becoming more relaxed with my companions. They have left me to care for our animals and left me my own space. They have even asked for my advice and taken what I have given without judgment.
The wilds of the land are more than I expected. The encounters with the strange creatures were frightful, but exciting in a strange way. I would hope our trip not full of such hostilities, but I am sure we are well prepared.
I read again from the strange book I received, and I have discovered more of its secrets. If only it was written in a language I knew, it would make my discovery of all it secret lore a little easier. But that is perhaps one of the lessons it is trying to teach me.
We have spotted the caravan, I now await the decision on what we shall
