We went to West Mantar to do our part in the developing war. Turns out it's pretty far north - it snows a lot here and they've developed some interesting architecture - lots of things are below ground. We're here to rescue the local nobility from the impenetrable prison that they had the foolishness to construct and then get thrown into (turkeys!).

While we wait, we travel to the "dot" on the map where some of us believe there must be something of significance. We meet a farmer named Clide, the same name as on our map, and an anagram for Lidec. He doesn't seem to know anything, but he does tell us about some nearby caves that beefy adventurers go into, never to return. Ah frigging ha! Some crow is eaten by those who insisted that the dot was a mere artifact of the map. We'll come back later...

We went to rescue the dumbass nobility. Vaugner and I snuck into the castle (successfully!) and we were joined by the rest of the party, Dimension Dooring in. Everything was going fine until some big-ass chef type stumbled onto us. He got away quickly enough (despite Vaugner quickly emptying what seemed like an entire quiver of arrows into him) and barricaded himself in the kitchen. Much pot-and-pan clanging ensued. We finally got through the door, but no doubt the entire castle was roused. We decided to go downstairs post-haste and perform our rescue. We had to overcome a stone golem - a tough fight that mostly involved watching Kestrel fight the golem. I managed to chip the stone a little bit, but it turns out there are drawbacks to hitting big stone things with your bare hands.

We performed out appointed rescue (you can do some amazing things with the Covalance toy, I must say), and got our asses out with a teleport or two (whee! zip!). Back to the dot/caves...
