Perhaps this cauldron issue is more worrisome than I had thought. We got ambushed while in a rope trick -- this is quite hard to do. Well, it was probably bound to happen some time.

I suspect that hiding in the underdark is the worst possible thing to do right now. If we get hit, we will be blind and possible among enemies. This is very bad.

Instead, I think we need to head to the surface and try to find the cauldron directly. If we can negotiate with him, or at least take out his supporting (and, I suspect, corrupting) forces, then at least he won't be a threat. I'd really like to completely resolve this issue, but the priority has to be removing the threat. That little guy is dangerous!

Also, I feel this calling, this urge to return to the dream. The others think it might be dangerous, but I suspect it's no coincidence that the dream called to us the moment that we discovered the cauldron's efforts against us. Possibly it holds a clue, or an answer....
