March 16:

Another group dream! In short, I sat around while the so called intellectuals in our group tried to solve the first puzzle, and after I tired of their inept attempts, I casually solved it with my keen spotting skills. The next puzzle involves numbers, which are not my bag, so someone else will need to step up.

March 21:

Today I heard an interesting story. I was at the thieves guild, trying to gather any useful information for our party, when I ran into Griffon, an old pal of mine. He told me about a splinter group of rogues who are rumored to have a hideout under the outer city. Their leader is a man known as Nikolai Hel, supposedly the greatest assassin in the known world. Not much is know about him, but the rumors are that his mother was a human and his father a Belar! His parents relationship was forbidden, but they continued seeing each other anyway. Then his mother died during childbirth, and his father could not stand the sight of him as he represented the death of his love. His father then sent him away to an order of Monks/thieves, where he learned most of his deadly skills, and thus began his illustrious career. Now this is a heartening rumor, as it gives me a precedent for human-Belar relationships! But anyway, he apparently runs the organization as a neutral "problem solving" outfit and has managed to survive Belar scrutiny in Pavalar as he takes enough care of their needs for them to allow his existance. I feel there is much to learn from this man if he exists, and I will try to search him out and join his outfit.
