Instead of awarding XP based on monsters killed and treasure acquired, each session will be worth a pre-defined maximum value. Based on how well the party does on its adventures, a percentage (0-100%) of that value will be awarded to the party. Bonus xp may be awarded for ingenious play or exceptional roleplaying.

In addition, each player will have a weblog available for them to write from the perspective of his character. Writing is optional, but players will get XP for each journal entry (5 or 10% of the amount needed to gain a level up to 500 or 1000 XP, depending on how in depth each entry is. For example, 2000 XP is needed to go from level 2 to level 3. If the character is level 2, he will get 100 or 200 XP per journal entry.)

Players are not expected to slave hours on journal entries; however, journal entries are encouraged to give insights into the characters -- his reaction to the events which unfolded, his ambitions, his fears, etc. What is written in each journal will definitely impact the way the world unfolds.
