I sense my meeting with Shadow will be soon. I may need to choose between my friends and my chosen profession. Hopefully I can navigate so that I can do both, but Nicolai's organization is a once in a lifetime opportunity. It is a shame they are so short sighted and cannot wait a year to have an epic hero in their number.

I wonder what has become of the rift. It seems that now that we can survive in the vacuum we might want to explore it. But then again to the best of my knowledge we have no reason to believe there is anything worthwhile inside.
