Anticlimax.

We finished the real cube (as opposed to the dream cube), and did it without suffering any deaths. But when we got to the other side, we found no untold riches, but rather an inscrutable Belar.

He clearly has had interest in us -- he sent us Covalence, wrapping a painting by one of his favorite artists; the dream prepared us to face the cube, which we would not have otherwise been able to pass; he sent a gem of power to us. Possibly he has intervened in other ways.

Why then was he apparently so uninterested in us? He gave no direction, no clue as to why we were objects of his attention, even when directly asked. What was the point of dropping all those clues to lead us here, then just ignoring us?

Unless there's someone else who sent those dreams. If that's true, then does someone in this house need rescuing? I can't imagine that we're going to be able to rescue anyone trapped here, not from the uberbelar. We've seen no sign of any such thing, and we've been here for days.

So in summary... no untold riches, no new knowledge, no idea what that was all about. Given that this has been the central mystery of our lives ever since we left school, this whole experience has been mighty disappointing.
