Our dreams have taken a turn for the bizarre. More bizarre, I mean.

This is the first post-training dream that didn't take us to the strange maze. Instead, we went to Sola. More evidence that our destiny somehow revolves around the place.

Oh, and it wasn't present day Sola, or even a correct historical Sola. We all had different names and appearances. And in our dream, Sola was overrun and destroyed by lizardmen.

There are several interesting things about that. First, we know that Sola was destroyed by internal conflict, not by an outside influence. And we know that Sola was founded by people who share a lot of similarities with us. So Sola seems to be inextricably linked to our own destiny.

And, it turns out that we'll be heading there again. Pippy tells us that there's a fountain there which makes us permanently healthier, which we missed in our first incursion. That'll teach us not to ask around about a place before we go there.

I feel like we've been given clues that we're somehow missing. This dream must fit in with the others, but I don't see how. Our destiny must fit in with the Sola, but I don't see how. And this gems of power thing seems to have come up at just the same time as we did, and that has to fit in as well. Or it's a huge coincidence, but that seems unlikely too.

I wonder what the original quest for the statue had to do with it, too. It seems increasingly unlikely to me that we were randomly picked out of class to go find a stolen piece of art, and even encountered a supposedly non-existent rogue belar. Tera knows a lot more than she is telling us. Which isn't news, I suppose, but I still wish I understood this all better.
