Well, that ended poorly. We did get to kill our first dragon, which was very exciting. I am especially impressed by the bravery, if not the wisdom, of Vernon, who Dimension Doored to the back of the dragon in an attempt to rescue the hapless Vaugner.

Luckily Vaugner managed to get of a Feather Fall that saved both of them before they plummeted to the ground when the dragon died.

So that was good. Unfortunately, then we got a little careless (and unlucky), and Blink died, which woke us up out of the dream.

The important thing, now, is that we have some information about the staff pieces, which I highly would like to recover. As of when the dream ended, the staff pieces are: in the dragon's home; in some swamp in Bedorae; and somewhere in the underdark.

Given that the dream was triggered (at least probably) by events in the underdark, I think we should look there for clues. Not that I think the Slaad would be forthcoming, but I'd at least like to try to talk to them, not to mention the magic beings.

I've found some information about this item, and it sounds pretty impressive. It can become any weapon, instantly, and become endowed with a variety of powers as it changes. This sounds quite exciting. Plus there's some special parry ability which got activated during the fight against the dragon.

I don't think we're quite ready to go after the dragon, and we have no idea where the swamp staff is. So the underdark is our best bet. I wonder how the others are going to feel about this.
